Santa's Summer Sleigh by The LEGO Group

Camp Australia is thrilled to congratulate the talented winners of the Big Art Comp: Powered by LEGO® Play on an incredible achievement! These young artists have had their creative visions included in LEGO Australia’s magical Christmas campaign.

This exciting opportunity began when LEGO Australia invited the winners to help solve a very Aussie Christmas challenge. With Santa and his reindeer struggling to beat the summer heat, LEGO Australia asked the kids to imagine a “cool” new sleigh to save Christmas. The result? A burst of creativity that brought their imaginative designs to life in the most magical way.

Santa's Summer Sleigh

It was Christmas Eve and Santa was stuck! Arriving in New Zealand, his reindeer had quit. Rudolph, in particular, could not hack the heat. He returned to the North Pole, sleigh in tow. So Santa called on the children of New Zealand and Australia to help him build his new sleigh. What awaits is a magical story of Santa’s journey down under, made possible by the creative imaginations of kids….

Swamp Strider Sleigh

Santa’s new sleigh has two fans to keep Santa and the reindeer cool. It’s even got a ‘snapper’ to frighten the crocs away and it’s got a drill and a blade in case of rocks or fallen trees. The gumboots are to help Santa’s sleigh get through the mud and stay clean. It’s even got a side seat for an elf who can help Santa. There’s a feather to tickle the crocs so they are laughing instead of biting. There is a catapult so Santa can fling presents if he needs to be quicker. MCS on the side stands for Merry Christmas Sleigh.

Turbo Tred Sleigh

This year, Santa’s sleigh is getting a huge makeover. His sleigh is equipped with tank treads for any rough or uneven terrain which is up against. It also has a hovercraft mode to cross any body of water including swamp full of crocodiles. Its rugged body allows it to cross any bushfires with a breeze. Be it ground, water, snow or fire, Santa’s sleigh has him covered so that no child in the world (especially those who live down under) miss out on their presents, all powered by the spirit of Christmas.
