What is ChildCare Subsidy (CCS) Payment
The Australian Government helps families with the cost of approved child care through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). CCS is paid directly to Camp Australia to reduce your fees before you are billed.
From 5 January 2026, all CCS‑eligible families are guaranteed at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight -equivalent to three days a week – under the new 3 Day Guarantee. Families may receive up to 100 hours per fortnight in certain circumstances, including caring for a First Nations child or meeting recognised participation requirements.
Your CCS amount depends on several factors, including your family income, the type of care you use, and your eligibility requirements, such as residency and immunisation rules.
How to apply for CCS with Camp Australia
You should apply for CCS payment as soon as possible as new claims can only be backdated for a maximum of 28 days

Register for a MyGov account
2.
Complete your Child Care Subsidy application through your MyGov account
3.
Register and create your bookings through the Camp Australia app
4.
Ensure you have provided Camp Australia with individual date of births and CRNs (Customer Reference Number) for all children and the parent claiming the Subsidy
5.
When prompted by the government, log into your MyGov account and confirm the enrolments for OSHC (Outside School Hours Care)
Child Care Subsidy Eligibility
The percentage of CCS payment you’re entitled to depends on your family’s income.
From 5 January 2026, the activity test has been replaced with the 3 Day Guarantee, which means all CCS‑eligible families now receive at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. Families may receive up to 100 hours depending on their level of recognised participation or if they have an exemption.

Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS)
Additional Child Care Subsidy is extra support for some families. This includes grandparents and great grandparents, families moving from an income support payment to work and those experiencing temporary financial hardship.
You can claim these subsidies through your Centrelink online account through MyGov. Additional Child Care Subsidy may also be paid in circumstances where a child is at risk, of serious abuse or neglect.
