What a journey! We are extremely pleased and proud of how the 2023 Big Art event wrapped up. We received over 1,700 entries from children across the nation in the Big Art Comp, and were blown away by the incredible talent that was showcased through ART.
From the judges - "Daniil's artwork yells out creativity in abundance with the colour placement, juxta position and layering effect using different tools. This child has used a lot of creativity and I was impressed with the overall piece."
From the judges - "A real reflection on how we cannot use all of our creativity up! A great story not only using creative thinking to create but also expressing within the story how his mind uses creativity and imagination in his thought processes. The idea that no one knew the answer (to the very deep meaning of life) leaves all of our minds open to even more creative ideas on what it may be… love it."
From the judges - "I found Emma’s work relayed the message of be yourself, beautifully. I liked how she coloured herself and the different aspects of self (Dreams) in different colours to turn the art into a story, I also loved the creative idea of the balloons… very clever!"
From the judges - "Nitasha's Writing took me on a journey of the mind as she took her inspiration from the “Be yourself” quote, She gave examples of how we may doubt and compare ourselves to others. The message was very empowering as she refuses to be put in a “category” standing up for who she is and what she wants to be. Inspiring…"
