It's incursion day, so it's time to bring your favourite outfit, your creative hat and your best smile! Today we'll be getting into small groups to write our short films, direct and star in them!

All films from our incursions will be judged by our official partners - StarTime, who are experts in the filmmaking industry. Winning films will be shown at our online Rocketeers Film Festival premiere - shown on YouTube on Sunday, October 24th.

How to enter

We welcome StarTime onboard as our major partner - running our filmmaking incursions, judging the films and co-hosting the Film Festival. StarTime believe creativity makes the world a better place. They are committed to delivering world-class creative learning to children, teachers and organisations, right across Australia. From Performing Arts to Robotics, Filmmaking to Mad Science (and everything in between), their courses teach children new skills, encourage teamwork and most importantly, give children the confidence to realise they can achieve anything.

StarTime

The Children's International Film Festival (CHIFF) brings a curated selection of feature and short local and international cinema dedicated to our youngest film buffs. After a successful launch in 2018, CHIFF returns for a fourth festival in May 2022, once again presenting a jam-packed line-up of carefully curated feature films from around the globe. CHIFF is partnering with Camp Australia to highlight some of the best films from the Rocketeers Film Festival and celebrating children's creativity across the nation!

Two (2) winning films from each participating state and/or territory. Each member of the winning teams will receive a $50 voucher! Plus, every winning feature film will be showcased in our Rocketeers Film Festival.

Feature Films

The Best Film award will be presented to the group with the best overall movie, at our Rocketeers Film Festival premiere. Each team member will win 'a year of movies' (12x child movie tickets and 12x adult movie tickets)!

Best Film

The Best Original Screenplay award will be presented to the group with the best original script, at our Rocketeers Film Festival premiere. Each team member will win 'a year of movies' (12x child movie tickets and 12x adult movie tickets)!

Best Original Screenplay

The Best Actor award will be presented to the actor with the best individual performance, at our Rocketeers Film Festival premiere. They will win 'a year of movies' (12x child movie tickets and 12x adult movie tickets)!
