Celebrate World Play Day in After School Care

This year’s challenge is all about reimagining the world!
Children are invited to transform iconic landmarks using LEGO bricks and craft materials. The twist? They can make them bold, fun, and entirely their own.

Once complete, their creations will come together and be part of a massive collaborative display, a mini-city built entirely from imagination. It is a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and the pure joy of play.

Why Play Matters

Play isn’t just fun — it’s essential for your child’s growth. On World Play Day, we celebrate how creativity and teamwork come to life through play. Curious to know more? Flip to discover some cool insights from the LEGO® Play Well Study!

Why LEGO bricks might be the building blocks of wellbeing

Play allows children to express themselves in a way that doesn’t require words; many children and adults struggle to put emotions and feelings into words, so creative play is a wonderful way to combat this. It can help to build self-confidence, relieve stress, and even nurture empathy. And yes, it can include dragons, castles, rainbows, and rocket-powered flamingos made from LEGO bricks!
