It’s International Women’s Day on Wednesday, 8 March 2023. Celebrating women’s achievement and raising awareness about discrimination, it’s a day where the world takes action to drive gender parity.
At Camp Australia, we understand that all women in the workforce make a difference. We support IWD and beyond, where we #EmbraceEquity and work to create an environment that is diverse, inclusive and valued. We have over 84% of our team that are women, delivering services before and after school, as well as during the holidays.
We are committed to supporting our team members through care, empathy and opportunity, while embracing their cultural and ethical values, so they can lead and flourish in a gender-equal workplace.

“For me, IWD is such a significant day to hear the powerful voice of women across the world, that gender equity must continue to be a discussion on the world stage and shining light where women continue to suffer discrimination, in so many aspects of life. It is also just as important to celebrate the achievements of women everywhere, as it shows how empowerment can lead to change that we can all be proud of. Personally, I will be celebrating the many women in my life who inspire me with their tenacity and spirit, which include the many people I work with that embrace gender equity and keep this conversation alive every single day. I will also be celebrating where I work to sing out how they continue to reflect and do better in hearing, supporting, and raising up the voices of women in the workforce; thank you, Camp Australia for being an organisation that can honestly say they are a supporter of women!” ~ Cass W.
“International Women’s Day is important for me as I look to the future of the rest of my working life. To have this day to celebrate and lift up each other as well as reflect on where we can go from here means a lot to me and my future as well as the future of anyone who will enter the workforce as a female presenting person. It’s less of a time of digressing to past circumstances and more a hopeful and realistic view of what’s to come as we work towards ‘true change’ where we are all on the same level playing field, given the same opportunities and have access to the same doors to open.” ~ Aimee J.
“A business is only as good as its people. With so many strong and influential women in our business it shows how good we are.” ~ Chelsea D.
“It’s a day of bringing women together to connect and to celebrate our collective strength and resilience.” ~ Robyn S.
