Jabiru Community Services and Camp Australia have agreed that Camp Australia will take on the twenty outside school hours care services Jabiru runs in Queensland. The transfer is subject to regulatory approval, which we expect later this year, and will happen in three stages in January 2027.
Families, school principals and the educators at each service heard about the change directly from us today. The Department of Education has been involved in planning the transfer.
What this means for families
Your child’s service keeps running as it does today, with the same team, the same hours and the same program. There is nothing you need to do today. Jabiru will email families when registration with Camp Australia opens, in late October.
When each service moves
