Additional Needs & Medical Requirements
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of your child, all medication must be supplied to the service by a parent or carer and meet the following requirements, in line with our Administration of Medication policy.
All medication (including over-the-counter medication such as Panadol or Zyrtec) must be:
- Clearly labelled with your child’s full name and dosage*
(Where possible, this should be a pharmacist label. In some states, this is mandatory.) - Provided in its original packaging, with any blister packs left intact
- Within the medication’s expiry date
- Consistent with:
- The written medical practitioner’s prescribed dosage
- The Risk Minimisation and Communication Plan completed by the parent in the Parent Portal
- The pharmacist label attached to the medication packaging
* Please note: Camp Australia staff are not able to split, cut, or divide tablets into smaller portions.
