Categories: Child Care Subsidy Most Asked

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government entitlement where the government pays a portion of your fees direct to Camp Australia to reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

Eligible families can receive up to 90% off their fees, depending on their combined family income.

From 5 January 2026, the government has introduced the 3 Day Guarantee, which means all CCS‑eligible families now receive at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. Some families may receive up to 100 hours depending on their circumstances, including recognised participation or exemptions.

The level of subsidy you receive is based on:

Your eligible hours of subsidised care, starting from the guaranteed 72 hours per fortnight

Your combined family income

Your OSHC fees, with CCS covering a percentage of the fee up to the Government’s hourly cap.

You can find out more about the CCS and your eligibility by contacting Centrelink or visiting Education.gov.au
