What is Pancake Day? Also known as Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Day always falls 47 days before Easter Sunday. Given that Easter Sunday is determined by lunar cycles, the date of Pancake Day changes every year. Lent was a time when Christians fasted to remember the time Jesus Christ spent 40 days and 40 nights fasting in the desert. The survey, now in its third year, was first launched in 2020 to help develop an understanding of impacts on Australian children aged between 5 – 12 during the pandemic.
